Dr. Sloan has served as a Principal Investigator for several national, federally-funded evaluation and impact studies across child welfare, family law, and child and family well-being. Dr. Sloan’s research includes topics related to child development, child and family well-being, protective factors, domestic violence and coercive control, and LGBTQIA+ youth and families.

Dr. Sloan serves as Co-Director at the Child’s Voice Project, overseeing the project’s research and evaluation efforts, and promoting education and training related to child development and child and family well-being.
